We’ve raised $48,605 in just 5 weeks!
Germantown Park is located just outside of downtown Annapolis and boasts 17 acres of green space, a basketball court, 3 multi-use sports fields, 2 tee ball fields and an aging playground set to be removed. The Friends of Germantown Park are working to replace the playground, plant trees and add amenities to our park that turns it from open space to a desirable community park. And over the course of the month, our community has really shown up and confirmed that Annapolis truly needs an awesome, free, inclusive and engaging playground for our kids!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received two more anonymous donor challenge grants, offering a match to your donation, up to $15,000. So for every dollar you donate from now until October 22, the donors will double it!
With a goal of $200,000 by December, we are 25% of the way to our initial goal so that we can apply for state funding. Thank you to everyone that has donated so far– every little bit helps! Check out the Donation Meter!
- Phase 1 of the playground is on the way! Our current playground at Germantown Park will be removed starting October 19th and the new, smaller playground provided by AACPS will be installed in the first week of November.
We will be hosting a ribbon cutting celebration for the installation of Phase 1 on November 8th from 10-12. Everyone is welcome to come, celebrate, and play!
